Urbex // Exploring An Abandoned Grain Elevator.

While waiting outside a train yard in Joliet Illinois to catch a northbound freight, I decided to explore this spot.
Later that night, I walked a few miles north to a set of signals where trains stop regularly, and caught out to Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
This is on a trainhopping trip to forge swords, axes, and hammers with my friend Ric Furrer.

I stumbled apon this fella while looking for other fringe dwellers that appreciate railways. I'm thinking it's now not a subculture it's a lifestyle for some, a hobby maybe but most definitely a type of adventure. I like exploring railways myself and have loved trains all my life. I have No idea what the fascination is and attraction to trains and infrastructure is. Can't pinpoint it. I hope this guy makes more videos more frequent....
