Nice podcast my friend. Always respect for Pervez Hoodboy ji not only as a good physicist but also as communicator of science. It is self evident that he loves his country and wants the best for it.Not sure people understand that.

We should have good critical thinkers like Pervez Hoodbhoy. He believes on rationality, reasoning and scientific method.

Love Dr. Saab from India. It is so funny, that Dr. saab himself says (rightly) that they are 1000s of physicists like himself in India and Pakistan has only 10-15 but I don't see even a single in public domain! So the Irony: There is 'NO PERVEZ Hoodbhoy of India', although india has '1000s of Pervez Hoodbhoy'! I find it strange. Maybe, the education system is too different but we also need someone like him for the layman. Too much of rubbish wahtsapp and chutiya hindu-muslim news for the general public these days. We need our scientists, like Dr. Abdul Kalam, to again appear in the public sphere. Anyways, thanks for bringing Dr. Saab on the show. I am one of his biggest fans! I wish he comes to India soon.

Hi. Thanks for the comment and yeah I can agree with you on the matter that there are not a lot of scientists in India who do public lectures. But I can tell you that there are many Indian physicists who are just too good in what they do (i have met a lot of them and have utmost repsect for their skill... my masters thesis supervisor is from India too). But your concern was about the absence of these scientists in public domain and yeah I agree with that. Thanks for the appreciation by the way and I do plan to have some Indian physicists on the podcast too (e.g. Dr. HC Verma ) and lets see if I can do that. Thanks for watching. :)

sir what is the scope of theoretical physics as a career after phd other than professorship at university level??
@Phymaths4 жыл бұрын
Being a professor at a university is a good enough scope but for this, you need to have a doctorate at least.
