Kosem could get rid of Osman in his childhood if he did not want him to get the throne. She protected him, loved him like a mother and helped him to gain throne. She only wanted the safety of her own children in return, was it too much to ask for? Other queens used to get rid of other princes 'fearing' life of their own children and her status but Kosem 'trusted' Osman. And what Osman did? He wanted to pity himself thinking he does not have a mother. He vowed to give life for Kosem but could not even stand 3 months in confinement.

Ya it's true whatever the usman did with kosem it is not acceptable at all, she too care of osman more than her own child feeding him with her own in the absence of his mother but according to me kosem sultan also made the biggest mistake to give the throne to mustafa it was unnecessary to make him sultan and then taken him down, she must have declared directly the osman as a sultan as he was the yelder son of sultan ahmed khan... Because of this thing she put all their life in danger and make conflict in Osmans mind against kosem sultan.
