@@Oilstar Do you believe in Prophet Muhammadﷺ? Prophetﷺ prohibits in his hadith clearly and sahabah also explained. In Quran Allah says:. “And of mankind is he who purchases idle talks (i.e. music, singing) to mislead (men) from the path of Allah…” [Luqman 31:6] The scholar of the ummah, Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: this means singing . Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) said: this means playing the drum (tabl). (Tafsir al-Tabari, 21/40) Al-Hasan al-Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) said: this ayah was revealed concerning singing and musical instruments (lit. woodwind instruments). (Tafsir Ibn Kathir, 3/451) Al-Sa’di (may Allah have mercy on him) said: this includes all manner of haram speech, all idle talk and falsehood, and all nonsense that encourages kufr and disobedience; the words of those who say things to refute the truth and argue in support of falsehood to defeat the truth; and backbiting, slander, lies, insults and curses; the singing and musical instruments of the Shaytan; and musical instruments which are of no spiritual or worldly benefit. (Tafsir al-Sa’di, 6/150) Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “The interpretation of the Sahabah and Tabi'in, that ‘idle talk’ refers to singing, is sufficient. This was reported with sahih isnad from Ibn 'Abbas and Ibn Mas’ud. Abu’l-Sahba said: I asked Ibn Mas’ud about the ayah (interpretation of the meaning), ‘“And of mankind is he who purchases idle talks’ [Luqman 31:6]. He said: By Allah, besides Whom there is no other god, this means singing - and he repeated it three times. It was also reported with a sahih isnad from Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that this means singing

@@Oilstar The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Among my ummah there will certainly be people who permit zina, silk, alcohol and musical instruments…” (Narrated by al-Bukhari ta’liqan, no. 5590; narrated as mawsul by al-Tabarani and al-Bayhaqi. See al-Silsilah al-Sahihah by al-Albani, 91) Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said: This is a sahih hadith narrated by al-Bukhari in his Saheeh, where he quoted it as evidence and stated that it is mu’allaq and majzum. He said: Chapter on what was narrated concerning those who permit alcohol and call it by another name. This hadith indicates in two ways that musical instruments and enjoyment of listening to music are haram. The first is the fact that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “[they] permit” which clearly indicates that the things mentioned, including musical instruments, are haram according to shari’ah, but those people will permit them. The second is the fact that musical instruments are mentioned alongside things which are definitely known to be haram, i.e., zina and alcohol: if they (musical instruments) were not haram, why would they be mentioned alongside these things? (adapted from al-Silsilah al-Sahihah by al-Albani, 1/140-141)

@@fuzzy0001 Yes. I am sunni muslim. I can believe you. IF you will put your hand on Koran. And say that those hadiths are 100 percent excact like the prophet pbuh said. If they are not correct then your children will die.??? Brother first hadiths where written 200 years after prophets death. According to hadith from hazrat Umar. Its strongly forbidden to eat garlic and onion if you are a muslim. So if you eat. Does it mean you are doing haram? Beside to talk about hadith you need to have extremely much education. Because you should know timeline when hadith came and the Koran verse. Because some hadiths where forbidden after the Koran verse came. For example prophet pbuh married more wifes then 4. Why? Because it was before the "4 wifes" verse came. Same with zina. First it was death sentence to commit zina. Prophet pbuh gave orders to kill 4 (minimum) people for this. But after the Koran verse came. Its forbidden to kill people for zina. You can only give them 80 or 100 lashes. Because you can not challenge Koran. Hence if one thing is not written in specifically in the Koran. When should avoid it to call haram. Perhaps its disliked. But not haram.
