Official BRP Advanced Notice - Safety Recall for Model Year 2024 Ski-Doo MXZ and Renegade snowmobiles equipped with Pilot X skis. Some of the left Pilot X skis on those snowmobiles may break due to a molding process issue at the supplier.
WHAT IS THE ISSUE?
BRP has determined that some of the left Pilot X skis on Model Year 2024 Ski-Doo MXZ and Renegade Snowmobiles may break due to a molding process issue at the supplier. Only the left skis from mold cavity AC2 are affected. This condition could cause a loss of control and serious injuries.
WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?
Consumers should immediately stop using the impacted snowmobiles. A plan to address this issue is in the works and will be shared in the coming days. In the meantime, a proactive inspection can be done to identify left skis that are at risk.
Please contact your dealer and bring your vehicle in for an inspection at no cost. The inspection will require disassembling the left ski from the vehicle.

contacted the dealer on monday and when i went to pick up my new 2024 mxz on saturday the replacement ski was already on it. turns out when they heard about the issue they went through their inventory of sleds checking them and many had the AC2. they also ordered in a number of extras because they know that some customers will be in for them in the next week or two.

i have seen it on a lot of models - brp says trail sleds - so that runs the full gammut - adrenaline, X, XRS

@@mudbrats I run the 8 inch Powder Hounds with 10 inch carbides , no studs , Polaris switchback 700 , 2004 , with a SLP performance edition motor , 8 inch is only an extra 3/8 on each side , but the bottoms are where the magic happens ! My Son runs Attacks on his Machine , but he’s heavily studded , I ride trails , 1.35 track , Kingsford , Upper Peninsula of Michigan , 1 inch of snow left on the roof , and maybe 3 inches in the yard , nobody is riding here , Zero , 37 degrees today , and the roof is dripping fast

Man that’s tough. Have you thought about putting an aftermarket set on like the Curve XS to get you through the winter or beyond, and save the warranty ski’s for when you trade or sell it?

Off the subject but I have a question you may be able to assist with I have a 2018 Renegade XRS 850 E-Tec the fuel gauge always says full is there a way to correct this? Can't find any help on the internet most people just have smart-ass comments that say they're all broke that's a Ski-Doo thing and you just have to do the math and watch your tank

I’d take it to a good skidoo mechanic or your dealer and have them look at it. Could be a relay or sending unit that’s faulty. I have see fuel gauges not accurate, but always reading full is very odd
