My thoughts exactly,"just keep unplugging things until we find the problem"😀 As always, it's a pleasure to watch, from Vermont, US.

Hey Woodlandwrench, i must say you're very innovative and make do with very regular tools. Its nice to see that Sami balegrab that you have, Finnish engineering. Greetings from your fellow neighbouring country🇫🇮

Thank you for the kind words! ❤ I am very happy with the Sami grab, real nice build quality. Seems like a real good brand. It's a more common brand up north in my country, not too much Sami stuff down here where I live unfortunately. I bought the grab from Trøndelag, in Norway. Had to ship it 600km!.. but it was worth it. My timber trailer is also Finnish, Nokka Tume brand. You guys sure make some nice equipment over there!

Could you do a video on that rear plow? I have never seen one that will turn all the way around like that.

Yeah, I will. Thanks for the video idea! 😄❤️

Well done. I just noticed that the scraper can be either pushed or pulled, which is nice. Can you reverse it from the cab?
@woodlandwrench Жыл бұрын
Yes, it's entirely hydraulic. Blade turns about 300° or so, not 360° on this one. Sometimes, it will land at exactly 90° and get stuck there, then I have to help it turn over by putting the blade down and using the boom cylinder to skew it slightly. Thanks for the kind words and comment ❤️

excellent video, nice wintery wonderland! I wonder if the failure of the suspension can be attributed to the intense usage of the front loader that puts a lot more stress on the front axle?

You're probably on to something there. The FEL certainly doesn't do it any favors.. Thanks for another nice comment my friend, appreciate it ❤️

Hey my man, I'm from Romania and I want to move to a Norwegian country and I'm interested in the forestry regulations in Norway, but I can't find it anywhere. If you have the time for explaining the regulations or laws for cutting down trees on your own property I would greatly appreciate it. Have a good day!
@woodlandwrench11 ай бұрын
That's awesome! So in Norway you can cut trees for your own personal use on your own farm, there are no regulations for that. Regulations become applicable once you accept money/sell them. That goes for any products made with those trees as well. So for me, if I wanted to fell some trees and mill them into boards on my sawmill (and sell those boards) I would have to follow regulations for harvesting the trees used for that purpose. The way you do it is quite simple. Just contact any forestry service in your area, they will create a forestry account for you. Then you'll preferable get a "forestry plan" which basically dictates which areas of your land is ready for harvest, which areas need thinning, the soil quality, expected yield, etc.. You'll then send in a request to harvest a mature area. If it gets approved, you can start logging. If you sell the logs straight without processing them yourself, you'll put 4-20% of that revenue into your forestry account. The rest of the money is yours. (You need to do this for any products sold, that were made by those logs) Then, if you harvested spruce or pine specifically, you have 3 years to replant that area, assuming you reported a simple harvest and not re-regulating for other purposes. You can use the money from your forestry account to pay for anything related to forestry on your property, and that money is tax-free.

@@woodlandwrench Damn thank you for your reply I didn't thought that it would be so easy and simple. I studied forestry in Romania and it is so much more complicated than it needs to be.

Hei. Hvorfor har du ikke snøfreser? 🙂 Bra videoer du lager.
@woodlandwrench Жыл бұрын
Fordi jeg er fattig! Haha.

Why dont you close the doors so your shop dont get snow inside, and be able to heat up the place up,,,,, I froze just watching you..... I never knew big tractors had a front suspension systems, I thought the only suspension was air in tires with a air ride seat and slow gear....... PS. Thanks to climate change you only have 2 feet of snow instead of 6 feet, I only have 6" of snow and maybe less next weekend, I dont what that is in metro land but someone that can speak two languages can translate it........
@woodlandwrench Жыл бұрын
I will close up and insulate the shop eventually. $$ and time is the only hurdle. When spring comes around, I'll probably be closing the wall at least. Yeah, you can optionally get them with suspension on the front axle. Some of the newer ones you even get air suspension! The only reason not to get it is, well, I guess this video is proof of why you might not want it 😅 Yeah, global warming is a thing. We usually get this amount to of snow throughout the entire winter, not in such a small time span as we did this year. But it's starting to thaw out now, so hopefully, it'll melt enough to where I can go logging! Just a nother day should do it. Thanks for the comment! ❤️

@@woodlandwrench INSULATION!!!!!!! Insulation in garages are for those that get a lot of coffee $$$$ and or have brand new 70k tractors. I'll never insulate may garage and it's 26'x36', in 2 hours I can get it to 60*F with wood stove which is warm enough to do this that and the other thing, and 99.9% of snow stays out side. Not only that but between studs I use to store most of my stuff......
