I was stationed in Germany in the early to mid 70's and saw them live at a venue who's name escapes me. Followed them for a number of years thereafter. Without a doubt, one of the most underrated rock bands. And had you told me back then that Mick would be the soul survivor, I wouldn't have believed it. Great memories and great music.

I fell under HEEP's spell a few years later, while stationed in early Eighties Rheinland. They were that region's favorite band back then..

Meant to be powerful. The traditional sound was mystical and ethereal. It's morphing into an iron maiden sound with Bernie. He is the wrong voice. It's why Ken left.

Слушаю и люблю их где-то с конца 70-ых. Наряду с Bee Gees, Smokie и Pink Floyd, Uriah Heep - такая же эталонная группа для меня из моего счастливого советского детства, в общем: из того самого времени, "...когда деревья были большими", а родители - молодыми. В то время многого чего не было, но кто очень хотел, тот это находил! ...и колбаса докторская в то время была и качественная и не дорогая! Спасибо КПСС за моё мирное и счастливое детство!

Пошёл в 1975 в первый класс и от старшего брата получил 1974 Wonderworld.Незабываемо!Хипы,Джорджие,Куин,Пёпл,Цепелины,Свит,Слейд..Всё слушаю до сих пор,кроме Слейд почему то...А в 1981 уже бегал на "кучу" винил менял)))

I saw Heep in Chicago back in 1972 as headliners, Buddy Guy opened, I forget who was the second act. They sound great, but I just kept waiting for "Stealin'". Now I have to watch that video to satisfy that itch!

@@user-fi6fv4mx4y Ошиблись Вы немного. Из первого состава жив ещё один участник - басист Пол Ньютон, игравший на первых трёх альбомах UH. В 2011 году Пол с Кеном и Джоном (Лоутоном) вместе играли в своеобразном "реюньоне" UH под названием Uriah Heep Legend (без Мика Бокса конечно). Тут, на "ютубе" даже видосы с того концерта были.

Any word on HEEP lately? There've been NO updates from Dave White's officially commercial website for like the past twenty weeks, and HEEP's tour agenda came to a real sudden halt about four months back, so we're just wondering what's up. In fact, I'd posit there's definitely something up, healthwise, because HEEP has never before shied away from a heavy touring schedule like this ever before.
