I had seen Joe Pera in the past and watched most episodes, something about his soft demeanor made me feel safe. This last year I admitted myself to the psych ward, it was my third stay but it was the first time I had admitted myself before actually attempting something. I was shook up and scared, tossing and turning, I didn't even want to turn the TV on because most of the time television upsets me... and it did. I turned it on and the tail end of a Rick and Morty episode played, but after it ended Joe Pera came on, and most of my fear simmered down. Adult Swim played 4 episodes back to back at such a scary time in my life and for a brief moment I cried and didn't feel so overwhelmed. I don't owe my life to Joe Pera or anything, but like a good friend, he was there for me when I needed him most.

Not the same region but the same vibe. And it really helped me through a pretty difficult part of my life mentally and it still does. It’s just incredibly charming and is set in the same world we are now and sorta is a head on take of nihilist thoughts and the strange modern world we’re in. His relationship with Sarah he has in the show is so truly charming and the shows end made me tear up a bit. It’s just such a sweet show that feels so real and is something you can relate both in easy or difficult times someone might be going through. Like he said it’s honestly not a very deep show at all. I’ve taken deeper meanings on it personally that makes me happy, but it’s just wonderful, and it is legit hilarious at times.

Adult Swim and Newgrounds formed the bridge between TV and the internet for me as a kid. I used to only watch cartoon network, but then after being exposed to Adult Swim, I wanted to watch more stuff like it, leading me to Newgrounds.

Oh my gosh! I just watched the first episode after this video, and was so happy to see it in Marquette. Just started going to school there, so it's so cool seeing familiar landmarks.

I remember staying up one night and seeing this. I was confused by it, naturally, but there was nothing else on so I kept watching. Really good show honestly.

This video was so well made and narrated, what got me to subscribe though was the shoutout to your patrons. Insanely wholesome.

Discovered this show in late 2019. Was at a really low part of my life and hearing Joe’s calm and charismatic voice as he describes mundane topics like breakfast or sleeping managed to melt away my depression and made me cry tears of pure happiness. No other show was able to do that. Thank you Joe Pera and god bless you.

Joe Pera talks with you was my favorite show adult swim ever put out, no lie. I actually watched it when the first season came out, and funnily enough my life wasn't really great for a number of reasons. Listening to Joe perry dry humor and seemingly sincere kindness really brought up my sports and hope back into my life. It sucks that the series wasn't renewed this past year, but I'm really glad Joe is still doing things on the side and was able to what he could when he had the chance!
