I totally get your point Smo.. but I actually think it’s a great time/test for Yunus. I generally think it’s a good idea to save some of these bigger matches for when these younger dudes build up more cache. The only thing is, I’m not sure if a nome or a summer madness card holds the same weight as it used to. Yunus name is buzzing right now and if he has an amazing performance against Rum on this card, these days I think it moves the needle in his career as much as it would on a Nome.

Chilla vs Red is my favorite matchup on the card. Feels overdue, and it’s got Volume written all over it, but I’m cool with it happening now on Outside. I got Chilla 2-1, but Red definitely got what it takes to pull off the W imo.

Yeah Smo I think they fast tracking Yunus because he's the most promising star they have they need stars badly and he needs to be throw in the fire he still has a ton of other top tiers to prove his self in the future only thing is Nitty is his final boss for his style so that's unfortunate

@@Alafi1 yeah, guys been on roster for about 2 years +. Eventually u gotta try to get one of these guys over. I think im more frustrated with what they did with them the last 2 years than I am with the talents themselves right now. Hopefully battles ends up being good enough where it’s special regardless of timing

@@jsmoreviews4140Somebody needs to talk about what happened to the Crucibles. The year before this one was solidly talented but by now squandered, with only Klutz continuing mindshare. This year the one star is Yunus and the whole class is not amounting to a replacement of the talent pool. In this era where URL didn't have the sponsors to pay top tiers for a lot of events anymore they should be spending the time building hungry ( ie cheap) talent by having them make classics against each other. There's so much squandering going on and talented people are being ignored

Regarding the "too early" conversation, I look at it differently. I see it as URL keeping their stars like TTop and Rum Nitty active while simultaneously building future stars. I believe Swamp's debut on URL was in 2019 and it's taken him 5 years to become a consensus star (despite the NOME and SM appearances) with this being his first year in the #1 COTY discussion. URL knows it takes time, and they can't fast track anyone even if they wanted to. Part of me also thinks that URL does NOT want to see a Yunus vs K1NG matchup (or any Trenches matchup for that matter) and if Yunus can beat Nitty all that talk might be muted (as well as K1NG losing to Cortez).

O-Red is a top 10 pen? Somebody gotta break that down for me. Every pen name I think of is not getting knocked off the list by O Red
@jsmoreviews41404 күн бұрын
@@barbarbarians1 I guess that depends on your 10. I wouldn’t say he’s top 5 or maybe even 7/8. But he’s in the 10 for me. In the convo for King Of The Volumes, COTY winner while being a textbook “pen” style throughout. Guys been inconsistent but when he’s locked in he’s like that

Idk what people base wins on, cus they confuse subject matter with good writing. Chilla is still a very good writer, Rex won in the people's opinion, but he wasn't better to me.
@jsmoreviews41404 күн бұрын
@@tatoogefferie2594 I think Rex was better when we’re talking all the aspects of battle rapping. He performed/delivered better whcih took the room, had everything from drug talk to comedy to bars. Chilla, pen to paper, probably out wrote him the 1st 2 rounds. But for a lot of ppl complexity doesn’t always = better. Chilla was def underrated vs Rex, win or loss
