They have managed to live on this very lake over 3,700 years! Sadly, the Uros have began to urbanize. They want the modern luxuries of life, while sacrificing their old ways. I too would love to see ancient people, but I don't want to add to the problem. Pollution and over exploitation of the Uros is cause for one to reflect. Should they continue to installing solar powered panels, or be left to their own devices? Could they exist harmoniously? Will their ancestors reconcile the choices of the Uros? Only they know best?
