Loved this. Very practical and well thought out. Only thing I would probably add is a large, deep jacuzzi tub (I like to soak/relax) and place for a refrigerator (not near the sofa/on the sofa side; who wants have a fridge running near their ear while watching a tv show?).

This looks good, but the cost is probably a lot more than building a normal house of the same size, partially because it just costs more to make a shipping container liveable than to build with a timber frame et cetera, but also due to the mechanisms needed to fold up a roof, fold down a floor, bi-fold those end walls, all with weather sealing. With my arms up I can reach the ceiling in a shipping container, the 2.4 metres width and height is quite constraining, so a normal build house would win on both cost and spatial feeling.

Great concept. But the home is oriented wrong. Why spend so much on glass to look at a driveway? Turn the house to enjoy the view out over the water.

Lovely in many respects, but as a engineer i suggest that it will be very hot unless there is an air gap and roof over the structure. The bed is also very awkward to manage.

? They've built single 20' container homes that fold out for the same size. The "Expandable Building System Block was the first time I saw this & they had a more open concept. Their multiple company's making them now & their being shipped around the world. The only exceptional thing is no one's done it in a 30' container as of yet that I know of??
