Calibre isn't right it's what it's chambered in not calibres, as calibre is the size of rounds fire not the barrel diameter as some are rifles and that increases diameter by a tiny but undifferencial amount

Thank you for kind words. Magazine is the difficult part of a gun. Even some commercial gunsmiths didn,t bother or dare to make their own proprietary mags- used the existing, reputable, reliable ones. I used a Hk 270 mag for most of my plumbing punk models. Funny , it I have a project of a video about home made mags by others I had discovered. Just need to find time to put it together.

No. I just found online an exploded view of URU and enlarged it to a scale, printed out the picture of the trigger, traced it and cut from 1/4" steel plate. Than built the rest around it. See all the videos about it, You will get better understanding

You mean Swedish m45? I don,t recall if it had selector switch or it was only full auto. My selector switch and most of the gun is modeled after URU. But the camshaft design of selector/ safety switches is quite common, Even AR 15 and M16 have them.

Thanks. Want to see your project, learn. No it is one piece trigger/ sear/ disconnect . It has no binary function. The first loud click on release is just the function of disconnect and reset. But this model has fire selector., single vs full auto

I have given pretty much most of the details- common hardware store materials, one off parts and other particulars in the description which accompanies the 1t clip about this toy and a little more in other episodes. I never had any drawings or blue prints, as I create intuitively and improvising - I was blown away by THE URU trigger/sear /disconnect as one piece, found it,s picture, printed, scaled reasonably and made one from 1/4” steel . Then one lead to another , like playing jazz … A mechanically inclined person or a professional mechanic can put 2 and 2 together. Thanks for watching

The spring guide - not a firing pin. It has a shoulder, by which the spring holds it forward against the bolt. It,s not gonna fly out. Also, many guns have parts moving backwards, like slide on a pistol. One must not place the face on it,s way. Thanks

The bolt is tiny. Difficult to drill now as everything is done, but I can do it as a groove on the top- like original URU or on the side like PPS43. Much easier retrofit….just don,t have time. Distracted by the single shot.

Lock it open an cut the guide rod square off the back and the remaining lenth replace with a tube that the spring holds over,should not bunch up..nice job ..sink the bolt top half in to frame and shave excess off,blueing my 2 cents..you look up GB 22, stable on 9mm said engineer designer,we only saw 22 tho...simplest 4 part square frame sidearm..

Ok. Thank you for watching and excellent suggestions. I don,t know if you saw all the episodes and read my descriptions. 1) I have never been happy with the external guide rod. IT WAS A TEMPORARY RIG, JUST TO SEE MY TRIGGER GROUP ALL TOGETHER. Plan is to do like the ORIGINAL URU- the smaller spring with the guide imbedded in a grove on the top of the bolt or like in Russian PPS43 on the side. Your suggestion of a telescoping, as I understand guide rod consisting with a solid and tubular halves is impossible for this particular application- the bolt travels so far back that both halves would need to be so short so they wood separate when the bolt travels forward again. Very short receiver and perhaps impractical disconnect system for 22LR . But I did ,t intend to shoot… 2) My lower receiver is only 3/4x 3/4 square tubing. The 2 main pins(7/16”) : the trigger pin and the selector- barely fit in the tight space - everything is very tight. Also the vertical alignment of the sear and the bolt has been established. Can,t move everything down. If I had rectangular tubing , let,s say 3/4 x 1 1/2” , then I would do like the original URU did- open up the top for the round upper receiver to cradle in. So I would have to redo the whole thing, not just improve it. Also I kinda like it,s exposed steampunk look. I did it on the fly…with whatever I had…improvised….a conventional effort for such a fun object would be tedious. Plus I,m moving on to other things to explore… 3) Speaking of the other things- not sure what you meant about GB22. The purpose of my exercise was to try to make a simpler cut of the frame, not having fancy equipment: a series of big and small holes connected by a grinder accomplished that for me and might do the same for others Overall thank you for your thoughtful input.

Yes. The barrel and trunion have not been made This dummy gun is scaled for .22 ( 5.56mm)caliber. The original URU was in 9 mm and I believe in 32ACP. I had no intention to complete the gun, only wanted to see and demonstrate the URU MECHANISM. But if one was to complete it- multiple options for the barrel: for instance use of appropriately chambered .22 air gun barrel etc. Trunion comes from a plumbing fitting - my receiver is just a standard threaded plumbing pipe. As for ammo- if .22 standard ammo is not available, than I don,t know what is…. Thanks for watching

It has ejector, but no extractor. In some cases, you may not need both. See my open bolt Gevarm and Voere. Blowback directs the shell straight back. if there's no place to get stuck- it will bounce out. An ejctor deflects it more consistently( even a protruding 1 side lip on a magazine can serve that

As I said before, I don't intend to make this a complete gun. I'm pretty sure 4 mm round would definitely be too puny to cycle- it's a single shot parlor round... On my toy- I have an old 22 lr magazine . Theoretically, even with the most hot 22 lr ammo available - there would be a big tuning problem because of the specific URU trigger design [ huge distance between disconnect catch and main sear ] + long bolt travel... The blowback might be underpowered. It might be difficult if not impossible to tune it up to appropriately cycle[ find appropriate weight of bolt and spring] . Everything has to be just right perfect: A very narrow range of success... The original URU had 9 mm parabellum - plenty of power to cycle with a lot of flexibility in any designs....even crappy ones...

See Forgotten weapons About Gevarm- excellent video shows all the details of such design. Can't show you how my bolt slams /fires the round into the barrel as I didn't make one intentionally. Thanks
