Dogura played well for the most part but made alot of weird decisions whenever he had the upper hand, going for crossups in the corner instead of applying the normal lk-scissors pressure, and going for chip from half a screen away....uryo just completely blew him up for it.

Why did Uryo do the 3rd hit on his flying followup attack, he normally does 2 hits, which is a untechable setup...?

answering you 12 years later lol it's because bison only has 1 charge input that requires a down input while the rest of his inputs are horizontal. uryo is doing the 3rd hit of hotoshi so that he ends up in the corner, which effectively removes bison's charge on that side. then he does light tatsu to get out of the corner so that dogura loses his charge input a second time. the set up it meant to cancel out the opponents charge input and remove the treat of a reversal EX or an ultra happening. the only way out of this is to do EX dev's reverse as a means of escaping the corner. hope this answer helped even after 12 years 😅
