Yep, I think it's gonna take a long time for people to adapt to these! Like driving in the UK for one block, then back to America! It may look good on paper but............time will tell, I guess!

@@allenwayne2033 They're gaining popularity around the country--I understand both the throughput and safety factors are both quite high. But you're right--there will definitely be a learning curve, especially for Detroiters so used to the "Michigan left."

We're getting a lot of roundabouts here in Indiana. I like them but older drivers (even older than me) are initially a bit intimidated by them, but it doesn't take anytime to adapt to them.

My first encounter with a divergent diamond was this spring at 75 and 14 mile. I was like "what the hell have we got here?" Ha

I wonder how the throughput and safety compare between the diverging diamond and the Michigan left. I know a lot of people hate the Michigan left (I am not one of them--I think they're fantastic), but this has a lot of appeal as well. I wonder how the numbers compare between the two methodologies.

This is how most interchanges on I 75 work in the central and north suburbs. 14 and 16 mile is the same way.
