Good video Mike! This has always been one of my favorite stretches of highway. I've stayed in several of these hotels on various trips through this area. There's some good local restaurants if you know where to look, though mostly all there's going to be are Pizza Hut and Sonic. The wind blows through here all the time which explains why there are so many wind farms.

Y'all's tax dollars at work. Looks like more upgrades going on as TXDot fixes up 287 and gets ready to extend I-27 north from Armadillo...oops, did it again. But that's a whole lotta nothing out there. That's not snow alongside the road; it's cotton lint falling off as trucks take the bales to market. Harvest time.
