US Air Force Flight Refueling

The United States Air Force travels the world and has to keep planes flying over battle zones. To accomplish this around the clock force, planes must be refueled in flight. Jeff Smith takes a look at the 916th Air Refueling Wing at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro, NC.

I was a boom operator in the late 70's to early 80's in the 924 ARFS. This presentation is by far one of the best I've seen. Great job, it makes me proud to be a part of it and to share it with the next generation and generations. Many thanks for an all that you do!

I flew misssions on KB-29 with 429 ARS, then On KB-50J with 431 ARS then KC-135 with 4505 ARW so experience with both probe and drouge and boom, both serve a function depending on the type of aircraft being refueled.
