I hand it to him for his forthrightness and honesty, but I think that both the US and Russia have been outplayed here by reality on the ground. Even the rebels were surprised and had to suddenly find " shura" in its truest form... as a reality that cannot be avoided and not just a diplomatic consideration or ploy. It is my hopes that Syria can make a settlement with Russia on the base issues (they're kinda striking out because Syria asked for $$$ and admission of responsibility for past "mistakes" but refused, now saying this, while previously being way less bellicose.) Iran gave me some hope today with their commitment to "whichever gov the Syrian people want" with the same reiteration on territorial sovereignty and justice. Russia still confuses Asad with the Syrians, as was the political POV. Iran's insight is deeper than that being a neighbor with cultural, religious and other historical and present ties beyond the strictly geopolitical. Damascus is not Grozny and he can't pretend as such. Iran understands it is not Tehran. But do not think that Grozny cannot become the new Damascus, again. Iran has no such worries. Beautiful military schools in Chechnya can't buy off those dying in Kursk as tributes forever. There is sick friendly fire revenge on all sides in this one boys..... It may all be up to China leaning in on Turkey so that a sort of normalization can let Moscow go through Ankara to save face. I mean you can't get better friends than those that forgive shooting each others jets down every now and then but can ALWAYS do "business. Even US-CN never took that past Alibaba Express. Simple huh.?.

Mr. Lavrov when it comes to Luhansk and Donetsk you have different attitude and law but when it comes to Karabagh it is different attitude and Law how do explain this because 44 day war Armenia and Azerbaijan was your own plan after all. Speech is good where erew you your CSTO ally Armenians Churches and Monasteries and historical monuments in Karabagh were taken down and burning and bombing by Azerbaijan I suggest you look at the mirror once in a while.
