The Japanese government rolled its eyes and didn't inform their own citizens. I'm not saying it was the right thing to do, but it was a response to Pearl Harbor and meant to swifty end WWII. America was not involved in the war until they were directly attacked. They didn't want to use nukes, but once they were dragged into the war, they felt compelled to end it quickly.

Now You do know that russia only demand was so ukraine wont join nato because thats illegal and breaks agreements that is set with nato and russia? If agreement is broken from nato side(they already did that few times) russia have no obligations to keep theyr side of a deal.
