Canadian Living in Alberta here who had this pop up in my recommended, while I'm not sure if it would be connected to the sightings happening on the eastern coastline, I feel it's worth noting that I've also noticed an increase of objects that appear to be drones in the sky here as well, particularly over major cities such as Airdrie and Calgary. and although we haven't had as many as New Jersey, I've noticed the ones here have a tendency to seemingly vanish into thin air. (edit: It's also worth mentioning one of the sightings and the one that caused me to comment happened on the same night as these, as I was driving into one of the mentioned cities)

Its not been widely reported but night time drones have been sighted for years off the north-east coast of Newfoundland. They also turn off the lights soon after they are spotted by humans but when the local moose look up at them they leave the lights on. On quiet nights what sounds like Irish music is heard which continues if humans look up but shuts down when Moose look up. Very suspicious!

I saw a light moving across the sky like a rocket one night south of Ottawa. I checked flightradar24 and there was nothing in the area. It was at a low altitude like a plane. It had red flashing lights. At first I thought it may have been a fighter jet but it was silent. Then a couple months later, saw the same thing near Brockville. They were all coming from the north, headed south. Not a meteor either.

Remember the high altitude balloons of 2023? One of them was reportedly from China, but they shot down like 3 of them if I remember. Anyone wanna know what one of the others was? I'm an amateur radio operator, I'm licensed by the FCC -- there's a ton of us out there playing around with RF equipment. One of our amateur radio groups reported that they'd lost contact with one of their high-altitude balloons. It was registered with the FAA, and like all our stations, is required to transmit its FCC call sign every 10 minutes and they still shot it down, allegedly. Just saying, there's basically two views out there: (1) our government knows all, and (2) our government has no idea. The truth is far closer to (2). Trust me.

There is an increase in military use of drones worldwide. I would not be surprised if this is the beginning of a protective surveillance net to track down and deny adversary drone capabilities (likely counter-ISR, but could be countering potential attacks). Since there have been two attemtps on the next president's life, and since these sightings seem to be along the Eastern portion of the US and near the Whitehouse, I think this makes sense.

For those out of the loop. These things are about 6 feet in diameter and have extreme battery life and have been disrupting electronics similar to an EW and haven't been able to be picked up on radar, helicopter sight, or radio or any other conventional tracking methods. It's highly unlikely that it's the US military. No country on Earth has the aerodynamics to build something like this. For those who don't know about aerodynamics or physics, I'll simplify it for you: the larger an object is the more thrust and momentum it needs to stay airborne. And we simply don't have the motor/engine capabilities to sustain drones of this size.
