US GENERAL 34IN FULL BANK MASTER TECH CART UNBOXING

My first look and experience with a brand new 34 in full bank tool cart in orange from harbor freight. I hope you guys enjoy the video I’ll be posting up another video shortly after I load my tools into it.

STRIPPED HEADS ROUNDED THREADS Just got mine last week. Just like yours. Bought a big pack of neodymium magnets and use the whole lid to stick the mostly used tools and lights. Good looking box. I just bought the 5 drawer side tray, power strip and a magnetic hook, all orange of course. Its perfect as it is, but if I ever get bored or my top gets scratch I’ll spray some bed liner on the top lid.

Just picked up mine today. Black. With all the Covid stuff happening, & jamming up the ports.. seems that all (8 or so) H.F. locations in my general area (25mi radius) have only 1 or 2 in stock in misc. colors. & any other color you want other than those, are “pre-order”. Which the manager told me as of right now is 4 weeks out (writing this on 1-2-2022). Anyways, after calling 5 locations, 1 store I called finally happened to have 1 single Black one in stock;(that’s the color I wanted). Anyways the Manager told me they really only have 1 or 2 in stock & selling the rest “pre-sale: with those being 3-4 weeks out”. Also got it for $70 off for the ‘New Years Sale’. Hoping it turns out to be as good as all the ratings/reviews that I’ve read. Thanks for the unboxing (& later review) vids! 🙌🏻

May be a next addition at some point. I just picked up a green 5 drawer cart for my tools in the shop I am apprenticing at. Since they just have me going tires, oil, and tune-up work right now I don't need a lot of tools yet. I actually had more then I needed to start from several years of backyard mechanicing my own and buddy's rigs.

Back in the day I started off with a 5 drawer first gen tool cart and that tool cart held me over for many years. It was time to upgrade when my skills an amount of tools increased. However if you have a bigger main box, to use for overflow or main items a 5 drawer cart will be perfect until the time comes for an upgrade.

I’m sure it will come down in price in the future but in my opinion it is very competitively priced at the moment with its features and styling compared to other carts on the market. I believe the SUNEX CARTS, and Homak carts are still way above $1k just for reference.

Kevin Frye... simply use the handle from the tool cart as a template and drill new holes on the side table to mount on the cart. It’s helpful to have a second set of hands to help align everything. I hope this helps!

I looked at the display model at our local harbor freight and only the first drawer opened, the rest of the drawers were stuck. Kinda turned me off to the idea of getting one.

I just bought mine. Though the employees wont let me take it in a suburban. Cause it says “do not tip on the box”. Every video shows it on its backside to install the casters. Any reason why it shouldn’t be transported laying down?

I would suggest that it causes stress to the box for cosmetic damage and potential for user injury whenever repositioning the box upright

Nice box. That’s the color I want. I wanted to get the blue to match my 72”. But I didn’t want 2 blue boxes. The black one look so cool but working out in the open is going to get so hot. So I wanna get the snap off mocking orange one. So cool…

Yea man I can understand that. I already had some orange accessories from prior years , and a good deal of my tools are orange. I like being able to “color match”

I agree about the pricing of the box, but in my case I really on had room for this unit. For some other techs in the field they may use this as an advanced carry over box to fulfill a days typical work load from.

Just bought my snapon cart with the sliding top, then I went to harbor freight and saw the black one of this and got that one too. Granted I stripped the us general off and stuck a snap on badge so it would match my real snap on lol

I recently purchased this and mine did not come with the shelf on the side. Would the shelf from the 5 drawer one bolt up to the full bank one ?

Yes you’ll just have to make new holes on the shelf and attach it. The box does not come with it.

My only complaint about this box is that the latches seem extremely cheap to me I wish they would have used the same ones they use on the other carts

@JohnFoley it’s for the 5 drawer tool cart. I’m sure you could use the 4 drawer version if necessary but it would be physically smaller in size. I hope this helps

Honestly it’s comparable to about the same. I know that these drawers are slightly larger and deeper than what my snap on cart had. Theyre still very stout tho especially for the price. I have no complaints yet on them. They’ve been holding up very well

The bolts the tray comes with are flush button heads. You can work them on but never get them fully right. I ended up taking a bolt to the hardware store and matched it up. However I don’t recall the thread pitch/ pattern

It’s the $30 tool tray. Depending on the color you should choose. The red tray part number is 62207. I hope this helps. The tray is for the 5 drawer cart and is roughly $30 in cost. The other tray that’s about $25 is for the smaller tech cart and would be too small in my opinion for this cart.

I ordered mine on 7/13/21 and it arrived 7/26/21. About 13 days so I’d expect a phone call or email around the 10 day mark. Congrats on being able to order one! I hope it does you well

No, the cart has mounting provisions on either side for the push/pull handle. I simply got a tray for the 5 drawer cart and drilled new holes on the tray to mount to this cart

The tool cart is pre drilled for the “side tray” the cart itself has options to mount the push/pull handle on either side. I took a 5 drawer cart tray and drilled new holes on the tray to mount on this tool cart

After seeing this Full Service Cart in person....I would not buy it @ $699.99 that's for sure. Flimsy thin metal side walls where the drawer slides attach. As presented it's $450. selling point at best.
