These systems are fabulous, and I'm sure they've saved untold thousands of acres and many lives from being destroyed! And a great big thank you to the US military for their part in these vital operations! Excellent informative video. Thank you. 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤

With drone technology, we could have a swarm of hundred/thousand drones automatically dropping loads of water at precises spot/lines. They could have a dedicated area to refill water and swap batteries at the same time, all automated.

I was in charge at Thomas Welding when the trailers were being built for the units to transfer them from construction to plane to plane . The trailers weighed around 10,000 pounds by themselves . Got to see some test runs plus the Firehawk helicopter units

So why not take the older KC Tankers that the air force is retiring and turn them into fire fighting planes?
@markkarasik2211

😎KC-135’s aren’t designed for low level flight or the much lower speeds that c-130’s and helicopters are capable of. They were adapted from airliners, meant to fly high and fairly fast. Other planes that tried to transition to low level flights had problems with low level turbulence causing additional stresses to airframes that caused fatigue failure of wings.

この設備は、KCタンカーを改造する必要はなく、 リアサイドドアの付け替えと、設備を乗せるだけで、 全てのC-130に搭載できます。

How about even though it is slower it could carry more water etc. what I am talking about is a blimp. It could hover above a lake and pull in the water you could have engines that could move it faster.

If California would only let them be online at first. When we lived out there in fire country of big trees small planes had 3 or 4 days before larger planes. Crazy if your house or barn burns down. Or whole towns. Hand crews are specialists and are employed only months of a year. They all have jobs that they can take off when needed. Even those that or housed in a compound are part time employees. I maintained two roads on my property. The lower one was for a Fire truck to stage if needed. We used it only rarely. The upper road was the homesite.

California had a huge chinook helicopter referred to as “the Hammer “. Night fly capability 90,000 gal, 30 second refill, would put out fires at their inception and ground crews just did mop up. The California government grounded it . They had it sitting on the tarmac for 3 days at the beginning of LA fires, then when the fires were completely out of control they let it fly, but that’s not when it’s effective. Fires in CA are huge money for a lot of people, the governor gets to blame climate change and increase taxes, implement bogus expensive programs run by his friends. 60 minutes did a feature on the Hammer, and they were appalled. Being the good liberals they are, there was no follow up and the episode has been pulled from the internet. Nothing to see here……… CA politicians love huge fires
