On the opposing side you have Iran, Syria, Shia militias in Iraq, the Houthis in northern Yemen, Hamas in Gaza, and Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. Qatar is the X factor that has relations with powers on both sides. This is nothing new; this conflict is pretty tame when compared to the carnage and destruction of the past.
