I don't think most people realize the effect that this would have on the world. We're already in a semiconductor shortage and China, Taiwan, Korea, and Japan who are direct neighbors produce 90~% of the WORLDS semiconductors. That means phones, computers, refrigerators, cars, washers, dryers, etc. It's not gonna be a simple price hike where most people will still be able to get them if they pay a little bit more.
