My experience at Abu Dhabi airport with US pre-clearance. Highly recommend this means if you wish to travel without hassle.

Check your flight number if your flight number is EY 101 EY 131 then your immigration will be at Abu Dhabi if not your immigration will be in the US

You dont have go in such specifications. If your airline is Etihad for US travel and you have layover in abu dhabi, then surely your immigration will be done at abu dhabi

@@TheUrbanPlannerArchitect hi, actually current Etihad website states: The CBP facility is temporarily only available for select flights to the US. The following flights currently have access to the facility: Flight EY3 to New York Flight EY131 to Washington (flight number will change to EY005 from 1 September 2024) They must have changed the rules since the time you traveled. Was there an option to bypass this pre immigration and instead clear in the USA for those who didn't mind long lines? Thanks.

No it was auto checked in by Etihad. If u are travelling through a different airline from Abu Dhabi then u will have to self check otherwise if it's the same airline then no

Only some flights have immigration of US at abudhabi. Flight no is written on website.

If you are traveling by etihad then it is their responsibility to get your immigration done. You don’t have to worry about missing the flight. But if you are not traveling with Ethihad and just changing flights then 2 hrs is enough

They will provide you with a translator if available because many people at Abu Dhabi airport speak Hindi. Otherwise if elderly people are traveling alone they can carry a hand written note conveying the details. English is not mandatory for B1/B2 Visas

It was like 2 hrs. But if u traveling with ethihad you don’t have to worry about it. They wont fly until each passenger is done

It's was not simple my friend us visa was canceled by customs cbp officer at Abu Dhabi airport gate no 60.. Rude behavior, aggressive attitude.. Waited 6 hours and detained.. Checking everything.. One of the worst us immigration.. Avoid this airport if you are heading to usa.. Later he was sent back to his own country.. Usa dream over 💔.. It was happened October 5 2023.. His i20, passport, visa everything was correct problem was he was unlucky.. Eithad airlines user problem this issue..
