It's a difficult balancing act but seeing those jets all go down its time to raise that AI skill level and maybe the same with some of the AA guarding such an important position, but still, Arma does Arma.

Ai aircraft are too stupid to be used against people and aa are too short ranged to engage player air.

If it was me and because they were so slow to engage I would have sent a Mechanized Squad with infantry support and attack the players at the beach. It is a punishment for being so slow. At 50:00 I would spawn some mortar team and have them shoot on the base there at because they are taking too long to do things.

Ai can be smart in arma if you have the right tools and certain mods for the mission maker check out rimmy for the ones he uses but in my eyes liru is just a Great zeus with a playerbase that isn't the brightest heres hoping liru doesn't go insane!

In reference to the beginning: tell people to write shit down. At all of our briefings I have a notepad and pencil in a pocket because 1) Someone’s going to say something important and 2) I’m going to forget. The fact your dudes are forgetting some mission critical stuff like 85% of the time would just drive me up a wall; don’t know how you stay sane.
