US Military "Ethnic" MRE (Asian Style Beef Strips) 🇺🇸 Menu 22 Meal Ready To Eat Army Ration Review

The US Government doesn't have the best track record when it comes to making ethnically inspired field rations; however, this Meal Ready to Eat will be missed! When it still included rice, MRE Menu 22, Asian Style Beef Strips with Vegetables, was a nearly perfect meal kit. A few years back, the military completely replaced this food ration with a new menu, Beef Goulash. I'd like to see more Asian-inspired MREs in the future.

I always enjoyed this menu. The addition of water chestnuts and bamboo shoots made it especially pleasing. I like the beef goulash they replaced it with but wish they had both.

I’d say fortunately you didn’t need the salt packets because it means they did just fine seasoning it. The more leftover packets of shit the better I think cause you can repurpose it for later meals.

Looks very salty. Did they add the salt and forget to put the red pepper flakes in? I do not use artificial sugars, too many chemicals.
