The USA kept pressing Saudi Arabia and the other GCC nations to end the war and threatened them sanctions and withholding of munitions. The USA didn't care because it wasn't in its interests. So Saudi Arabia did as asked by the USA. They forged a very shaky ceasefire and truce, and neither side wants to break it. Now, when it's in USAs (aka Israels) interests, they need help against the Houthis. But the GCC said it's too late now because they negotiated a truce, and they can't afford another war. This is why what happens when the USA focuses on Israeli interests above the regions.

We Americans better think about that and what it really means. Every time we pull back from that task, pirate activity, destruction and illegal seizures of ships is rampant. Huge effects on global economies and availability of goods.
