I played Pinehurst number two a few years ago and I found it a very awkward and difficult course to play. Not particularly enjoyable for the amateur and I certainly enjoyed Augusta National more! If you missed the fairways, you’re basically in scrub bunkers and the areas around the green aren’t particularly easy to chip from. Bearing in mind that you’re basically shipping to upturned sources that will be running at about 14 on the stimp, I think scrambling is going to be the key stat.
