After thousands spend Saturday holding a protest against President Biden's support for Israel in spite of his "red line" being crossed on attacking Rafah, some set up a new encampment featuring tents on the Ellipse, just south of the White House.
Police warned that if the tents weren't taken down, they would send officers in to do so and arrest anyone who stood in their way.
After being warned to disassemble the tents in their new encampment, protesters linked arms and stood in defiance.
"Biden, Biden, you can't hide! Gaza is a red line!" they chanted.
An Islamic prayer ceremony was held around sunset on the Ellipse.
Through the tree-line, music was audible from what I'm told was a pride event (today was also Capital Pride in Washington DC) at the White House.
Police had told protesters they would be back to clear the tents that constituted a new encampment at the Ellipse once they had the "resources" to do so.
Protesters left the tents behind and marched away together before that could happen, leaving the encampment unguarded.
After nearly all of the protesters had left, Parks Police entered the encampment telling the few who remained "If you do not leave, you will be arrested!"
The dozens of officers disassembled and removed all of the tents in a few minutes.
Nobody remained to face arrest.
