Shipping show roosters is not illegal. You have no proof these birds were used for fights. The WV Gamebreeders Association has poultry shows all the time. None of these birds are fought. They are judged according to breed standards, just like kennel club shows.

I telephoned a postal inspector this morning here in Kentucky. He was very cordial with me and advised me that the USPS has an obligation from the United States congress to deliver all parcels….or face mass lawsuits. When I suggested that many of those “parcels” were being delivered for illegal purposes, he simply replied that it’s not the responsibility of the USPS to investigate whether a rooster is being delivered for legal or illegal purposes. He said that investigation would fall under the purview of local, state or federal agencies. He acted sympathetic to my plight but said it had nothing to do with the USPS. 😢

everyone knows the mail processing takes a couple days and mailing a object especially of a large cage size would also take a good minute to reach a destination so its pretty heinous that postal services will even accept a animal since said animal is likely to die of starvation or dehydration by the time they're shipped out to a destination. this kinda thing happens often with mailing bugs and fish but i never would have guessed anything mamal or reptile would be allowed for mailing

Great investigative work Shark! Have you considered reporting this to the USPS Office of Inspector General? Their Office of Investigations unit has special agents stationed in more than 90 offices nationwide. Their website says they investigate complaints or information concerning the possible existence of any activity constituting a violation of law. The OIG is independent oversight agency.

Also, the USPS Office of Inspector General is separate from the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, they are different agencies but they both do investigations.

Here in Spain the Post Office does not accept animals of any kind for delivery, but each country issues its own laws. In any case it's clear these animals are roosters by sounds, weight, amount of boxes... SHARK will end this in due course, perhaps sooner than you think.

I think most people are afraid to be persecuted by the criminals in their cities as they aways look the other way and ask others is it a really a big deal. It's all self preservation. They also don't know if locking people away for years in prison and taking away their children doesn't make them worse a person than the animal abusers.
