Every one of the cars plays a huge part in protecting the president. It always appears over the top, but if the president ever met the fate of president Kennedy in 1963, people would demand to know who allowed the presidents life to be jeopardized. I’ve seen 2 presidential motorcades and the planning they take is amazing.

It's not the man that is relevant--they come and go every 4 to 8 years--it's the fact he is the POTUS. African heads of state must be especially envious. There were a lot of videos here on KZbin about them getting transported in London and other places in Europe during their visits in buses or shuttles and the POTUS has an entire convoy when in the City of Light. You know you're important when the French treat you that well. Vive la France!
