I actually think Cars 2 is the better one of the trilogy. It's plot centered around parts for older cars no longer being made or updated and so when they break down, their fucked. So they rebelled against the newer cars' engine and fuel, so everyone would start making parts for the older cars again. Taking into consideration that that's what happens to cars in real life, you really see a fight to stay alive in the antagonists in the film and the spies trying to stop them. It expanded on the world of Cars beyond racing and small towns with both other areas across the world and the spy weaponry. Cars 3 is the worst film in the trilogy, other than calling itself 'Cars 3', pretends the 2nd film didn't happen instead of trying to make an effort to fix any issues the audience had with it, and I consider that lazy writing and a slap to the face to anyone that didn't hate Cars 2 even if they thought it wasn't as good as the first one. Not only that, but Cars 3 takes away the morale of the first film: "There's more to life than racing and winning". But after the crash (which never gets acknowledged or even takes a toll on Lightning's body or mind for the remainder of the film) everyone's whole motive is to either force McQueen to retire or help him redeem himself. Instead of showing him the simple things in life outside of racing, you know, the whole point to the first Cars' plot.

Toy Story is an amazing series because espacilly for kids like me born 99 it follows you through your entire childhood and thematically evolves with you too. Truley master pieces 1-3 S Tier, 4 A-B Tier. Seeing the journey of Woody and co while making my own journy to adulthood was one of the most beautiful experinces media could have offered.
