The amount of sanitizing they had to do with this story made it almost unrecognizable, which I'm glad. They did a great job with Pluto, even tho some people didn't like the changes, I felt it was the right ones to do. I think this will be another good adaptation. Chao Planoy is one of the few authors that can say the adaptation was better than the book (with at least 99% of her books).

With Pluto they did GOD’s work. It’s not toxic and the characters are realistic and it turned out a masterpiece, instead of another romanticized toxic story of that author!!! But yes I have faith P’Fon changed the script right for US the series 🫶🏻

Chao Planoy and her internalized homophobia drive me crazy but they generally do a good job changing all the problematic parts from her books. At least they tone down the crazy in the story.

I don't know why these companies always adapt chao planoy's novel🙄🙄 is she the only one writing gl novel in this whole world. Her novels always include SA and abuse 😒

@@Sayyestoheaven098 Yeah, I agree. Also, the way she approaches these issues are very problematic. That women needs to educate herself and be careful around these topics. I think the reason production companies use her stories because of the "awe" factor for the audience and the companies find that useful for their plots. However, they generally change her books a lot to make it less problematic and more plausible for the audience which I appreciate.
