The scary part for US is that China will buy from Brazil at a lower price. The other place where it will hurt is that John Deere and their no right to repair will piss off Brazilian farmers. Chinese can build farm equipment cheaper than Deere and will not fool around with right to repair because they have better competition in their machinery markets.

The US farm industry is a controlled cost because of machine cost, fertilizer, farm cost if not legacy, insurance etc. The Chicago commodities board and everything else cost. The third world buys Chinese equipment at quarter cost or third cost with no insurance just cheap fertilizer and labour, so operating cost is way down. The American bread basket is gone with food plenty now.

Matt thank you for acknowledging that we exist in the east and grow and feed corn. I live in South Central pa and the corn for the most part is toast. I did see a place in morrisons cove yesterday that actually looked really nice i then learned that they got around 2 inches early in the week but for the most part where i live and south of me it is really bad.
