If the US hadn't interfered in Mexico's affairs for nearly a century and allowed illegal gun trade, Mexico might be a more civilized country. Despite this, Mexico provides free healthcare and pensions to seniors. The corruption in Mexico and Latin America is largely a result of American policy. The world acknowledges this, except for Americans themselves. You think migrants flock to your country by choice? Your foreign policy destroyed theirs. NAFTA ruined Mexican livelihoods, making them unable to compete with American produce. American corporations even funded Mexico's PAN party, selling out natural resources. Through this presidents own admission he implements his country in the drug trade and permits it as if it’s an everyday practice. He claims the United States is to blame because of arresting Maya Zambada in Texas thus destabilizing Mexico drug trade. Look at how much blood he has on his hands. The same people of Culiacán who enjoyed years of riches that rained down on them when the Sinaloa Cartel was living high on the hog making many citizens of Culiacán rich in the process are now prisoners in their own homes. Scared to set foot outside their homes fearing to be hit by a stray bullets or even worse kidnapped. Meanwhile the Police many owned many times over by the Sinaloa Cartel do absolutely nothing. President Lopez Obrador refuses to send in the Military to help thus intensifying the situation. Yes I know this Mexico all too well.
