the AAVP7 was used in the invasion of Iraq, thats the large tracked vehicle you see in the video, its has a RCWS fire control system (remote control gun) equipped with a 50cal MG and a Mk19 AGS (Automatic Grenade Launcher) and can carry 30 marines each.

these amphibious vehicles are made for seafaring and amphibious assaults, for River crossing, most US armored vehicles can be set up to ford rivers, I'm not sure if we still use it but I also believe there are armored bridge layers which have foldable detachable bridges that can be set up in minutes, though I'm not sure if those bridges are made for 70 ton tanks or simply logistics trucks.

Not an improvement as far as water and land speed. Only more anti mine or red protection is good. The recent cancelled AAAV was a huge improvement that they dropped and all they had to do is over come some mechanical issues that always happen with ne vehicles.
