@@rrahh8789 lol, quit fibbing. Afghanistan beat the US twice. Once might be a fluke, but twice and you got beat. Americans do hold the record for the world's largest and longest genocide against American indigenous peoples though... Russian winters beat Hitler and not America. Plus Pearl Harbour and 911 happened because your own warmongering blew up in your face. America can't measure, spell, or count properly, or tell red from blue, can't even follow international law or the Geneva Convention, or even it's own Constitution (amendment 14 section 3 for example...), and America have the world's highest national debt, domestic terrorism, violent crime, prison population, and suicide rate - it must be all the "freedom" Americans enjoy!! American culture = self-validation and anger

I want to see tires hold up against reefs or difficult landing operations. There is a reason amphibious assault stayed tracked for so many years. The AAVSU or the EFV is still a better viable option.
@shanesimpson3455 Жыл бұрын
The Assault Amphibious Vehicle first came in-service in the early seventies and has been constantly upgraded, the last attempt to replace them was cancelled.
@417jumps3 Жыл бұрын
Didn’t the Marine Corps or DoD do away with the EFV program several years ago? It seems as if they decided to bring the program back. This new vehicle seems to be wheeled instead of tracked like the EFV.
@chrishackett554 Жыл бұрын
It’s a really weird and disconcerting feeling when the AAV leaves the well deck off the ramp. Done it several times as a grunt as a passenger in the back. Diesel stench with dripping water makes you wish to get back in terra firma asap.

the AAVP7 was used in the invasion of Iraq, thats the large tracked vehicle you see in the video, its has a RCWS fire control system (remote control gun) equipped with a 50cal MG and a Mk19 AGS (Automatic Grenade Launcher) and can carry 30 marines each.

Use these amphibious tanks to cross river if river does not have bridge.
@yesyes-om1po3 ай бұрын
these amphibious vehicles are made for seafaring and amphibious assaults, for River crossing, most US armored vehicles can be set up to ford rivers, I'm not sure if we still use it but I also believe there are armored bridge layers which have foldable detachable bridges that can be set up in minutes, though I'm not sure if those bridges are made for 70 ton tanks or simply logistics trucks.

if the engine is destroyed by cannon fire, its safe to assume that whether it will float won't be because the engine stopped, but because of the gaping holes left in the hull from being shot.

Not an improvement as far as water and land speed. Only more anti mine or red protection is good. The recent cancelled AAAV was a huge improvement that they dropped and all they had to do is over come some mechanical issues that always happen with ne vehicles. Its speed was over 20 knots in the water.

none of these vehicles are made for the front, they're for amphibious beach assaults, and unlike russian infantry in the donetsk, they won't be going alone and unsupported, they'll be supported by the best carrier strike force in the world.
@yesyes-om1po27 күн бұрын
you ever gonna reply bud? was looking through my comments, never saw you make a reply, I should also point out that Russia does not have any amphibious assault craft like this. The BTR family of vehicles were only made for crossing rivers, lakes, you know, calm waters. They would capsize and sink in the ocean.

Amazing technology😳, awe-inspiring weapons🤯, gob-smacking footage😲 I've not seen anywhere else...& rather dry🤓, droning🥸, often repetitive😴 & surprisingly uninformative narration.😐 Seems like the scripts play a distant second-fiddle to the truly striking & eye-opening footage, or that they just aren't really all that well coordinated. Items are often poorly described, insufficiently & even poorly explained; & the context of their use, purposes, & interoperability either presuppose prior miltary knowledge & experience or the narrators are as confused about WTF they're describing & talking about as the seeming-bimbo who narrates with all the pizzazz of a Weather person or someone tasked with reading a phone book...😑 I subscribed anyway, but next time I'm bringing a cup of coffee to my viewing session!🥱
