Good video. The USA Croatian game clearly was USA's best defensive game. Anytime at this level players can take away passing Lanes and force the ball to the weak side, it creates options that goalies can come out and steal the ball which Weinberg has clearly demonstrated on a consistent basis. I also agree he got better and better each game. But if we're going to talk about defensive shifts, defending six man has been tough for team USA. More importantly, team USA's six-man conversions severely suffered through The entire Olympics. I think this win was more representative of a Croatian off game than anything else. Particularly with their defeat over Spain. It will be a very exciting Olympic final to watch. That said, I also believe we need a couple of good left-handed players on the 45 side and get our boys back in the weight room. The game is going towards a power game, particularly in the center position and the lower line. There's a lot to take away from these Olympics, but changes are necessary and I would like to see bigger, stronger, heavier players in USA's lineup for 2028. Look at Serbia's Mandic, He's 6'8 and weighs 240 lbs. He's got a rifle of an arm and his IQ. The game is off the charts. He's one of the best players in the world. If not the best. I understand Spains Perrones great, But left-handed players are difficult to defend as a goalie and five-man defense, The angles are different and the sight lines are different. Great video

Thank you and appreciate your thoughtful analysis as well. Maybe a little off game for Croatia plus the Americans were on their game, which was nice to see. I’ve been complaining about the lack of a lefty on the US team for years I’m glad you brought that up, I see so many instance where we are hurt by that, guys catching cross face when a lefty wouldn’t have to, better shooting angles, all kinds of advantages. It would be interesting to see how our power play percentage would be with a lefty. I’ll add one more thing, we need programs from places not called California! We need to tap into the young swimmers all around our country, I think we would be unstoppable.

I coached high level California CIF division levels. Took two teams to a CIF division championships and stepped away from coaching for a while. But I'm feeling the drawback into the game. I'm very good friends with Jack Kocur at Oaks Christian, we've coached together a few years at his annual showcase. He was one of the staff coaches for team USA in Paris, primarily doing video analysis in the stands and tactical and strategic analysis. My wife and I are looking to relocate out of California and I have considered starting up a club program. Would be interesting to have a conversation with you outside of KZbin. Talk about what you're doing with your program and where you're located. I've seen some of your videos on KZbin and they're great introductory instructional content. But the development of players that are left-handed is crucial. I think to this sport to compete at the international level. Adrian Weinberg was a big reason why team USA got a bronze medal. Plus the addition of the Dodd Brothers. Like I said in my earlier comment, I think the development of bigger players in getting back into the weight room can make a difference.
