USA 1941- Defending the Skies and Coastlines - Submarines, float planes and a ghost aircraft carrier. It’s the fall of 1941 and the second world war has been raging for two years. The United States is still at peace, but it is arming and preparing for come what may. After December 7th 1941 and the attack on Pearl Harbor the threats to the continental US suddenly felt very real. Enemy aircraft and ships were sighted all over the place. Actually many of them were false alarms and only a very small number of were real incidents.
