Was great to see freight cars not covered with graffiti.

Brings a tear to my eye...my fathers most favorite railway job was working on the BN.....the BN is gone and my father as well....I cant see how he did this for over 30 years....4 years for me was enough....I now understand why his brothers said "he was one tough dude".

I must say I always liked the BN system and in particular the North West of the USA. I think railroaders in general put up with a lot of hardships to keep the trains rolling.

1992....I just imagine a HUGE camcorder for this, where now, it'd just be a phone or something slightly bigger.

I can see why BN would be only too happy to give this marginal operation to somebody else. Seven or eight units and a full crew to lug a bunch of center beam empties over a high pass is not a very profitable venture.

Well, BNSF is now ending the MRL lease early and bringing the line back under its direct control.

on the train on the pass in the first part that third engine looks kinda funny where's the cab or is it all engine i.e. one of those remote types where it just goes forwards or backwards and provides extra power. I don't see the cab.
@StaceyV515 жыл бұрын
Its a "B" unit or booster everything but the cab for the operator.
