This came out when I was a teen. I loved everything and everyone in it. The blending of so many unique voices was amazing. And all the great people in the chorus. When I saw Harry Belefonte there I was so excited. None of my friends new who he was. I explained that Harry was the first concert I ever went to. Mom and Dad packed up us kids, drove us to Regina, Saskatchewan, 4 hours away, to see it. What a way to start my love of music. Thanks, Mom!!!

This song is from 1985. There was a famine in Ethiopia. A lot of British singers got together at Christmas 1984 and recorded "Do They Know It's Christmas" under the group name "Band Aid". And all profits for the record went to famine relief. We Are The World was America's contribution to the effort. Later in1985 Live Aid took place in a few locations. Fun fact tomorrow will be the 36th anniversary of the recording of "Do They Know It's Christmas" Maybe you should celebrate the occasion.

When all these people entered the building that day they were told to leave their ego's at the door. All of them did to help people other than themselves. What happened was one of the best song's ever! The happiness is evident throughout the video.
