100 jigsaw puzzlers race to complete a 500-piece Ravensburger puzzle to secure a spot in the Individual Final. The top 33 puzzlers will advance. This puzzle is a new release so none of the competitors have assembled it before. Thanks for having captions during the live. Extremely disappointed that there aren't captions for round 2! I missed the keyword but luckily someone in the chat provided. Hope there will be for round 3 and all the rest of the contest.

I was kinda confused by this puzzle being said to be original and never released before, because I could swear I'd done this exact puzzle before. And I've since looked it up -- 3/4 of that image is literally identical to "Mexican Food" a 1000 pc puzzle from Starlight Puzzles released in March of 2023. The only change is the superimposition of the blue & white sombrero to the upper right corner. Does Ravensburger own Starlight Puzzles? Even if they do, is the change of just a corner of the image enough to make this an original image?? It may be -- just wondering -- maybe this is some industry wide thing, to just make a few changes here and there and re-release, but I'd naively thought all the puzzles for these championships were entirely original and unreleased images.
