even tho i never lived in the states but when i see videos or artists interviews from like early/mid 2000s. i get a little bit depressed like everything indeed was just more slow paced and peaceful and i remember i was visiting, i don't remember where but it felt like just like how this video looks lol

A lot of people say it’s just nostalgia. Here are some real reasons as to why life looked better back then: 1. Less technology like smartphones distracting people and making them look dumb 2. Less mental illness 3. Less homeless people camping in front of businesses scaring people off 4. There were more birds and insects because humans hasn’t seriously reduced their populations yet 5. People laughed and smiled and enjoyed themselves more because they weren’t constantly thinking of ways to purposely be sad and pissed off and offended at everything. It’s like what they said in that black eyed peas song “What's wrong with the world, mama? People livin' like they ain't got no mamas I think the whole world's addicted to the drama Only attracted to things that'll bring you trauma”

This video brought me happiness and bit of sadness…and envy lol. Born n raised in LA, born 1996. I’m 28 now still here and hate how it is. The city is so dead and some of the surrounding cities feel the same way. Wish I could live my current 28 yr old life in 2006 😫

LA looks so ratchet now around these areas lol… all the youngsters selling weed on the streets and tryna flex in their rental cars … I miss these days!
