'fixing' as in "I'm fixing to do it" is a [present] participle rather than a gerund. Gerunds are nouns, so something like "Fixing this washer is taking forever" (i.e. The fixing of this washing is taking forever) or "I like fixing cars" (I like car-fixing, i.e. automobile-repair) would be examples of gerunds.

Brandon, and then inside of Cape Town, there's Northern Suburbs and Southern Suburbs culture.

Yas, separated by the boerewors curtain. There's also Cape Flats culture and the Tableview area which is devoid of culture.

Accent changes: Like Hiley, I grew up in the south (North-Central TX about 2 miles south of the Red River) and have worked hard to eliminate all traces of my southern accent. About the only time you notice the difference is when I talk to someone down in TX (Or my mother,) then TX Accent returns full force for the next hour or two... So I understand well what Brandon is talking about when he says that, when talking to another South African, his accent will mimic theirs.

I love these vids where they express differences in English "Styles". As a Joburger, I concede that Cape Town is awesome, but I love Joburg more. But Jozi is a bit rough hey. 😅
