I love this I played baseball all of my young life it's in my blood (I'm Dominican)lol but fr I'd watch womans mlb we as ppl have to give it a chance and let them set their own records to break, they are woman not men lol ppl are expecting woman to play as good as men ,I like it because of the craft that is baseball the hands eye coordination for me all I see is that they dont have the throwing speed but they do throw good curves and sliders ect...they can still steal base for speed ,gun eachother out from outfields,catcher throwing to catch runners tryna steal all these aspects of baseball are still being put to use in womans baseball,also we gotta motivate these players imagine how great it will feel to have packed stadiums and theres a woman player with 17homeruns in the first 2 months of the begining season that would b wild hype and to see if she the player progress ,all I'm saying is let woman build accolades for themselves and appreciate the sport.

Not to be mean but the pitching is just not that fast. The fastball in only equivalent to about 55 mph in softball, which is at a high school level. I do see that they pitch different breaking/curve balls, which helps. Maybe moving the pitching mound to about 55 ft would be more competitive. It is hard watching men play and then watching women play, just looks slower, same with alot of other sports. FYI - I am a women who played baseball a few years back and played softball throughout my hs and college career. I have fun playing but watching is hard.

Largely because of the sloppy, undisciplined play. Japan looks focused. America looks out of shape. The catcher cant even get to ball to second base on an obvious steal.

Your softball reference makes no sense. Then why aren't all the players converted from softball on a hitting streak like mad. Since you say you've played baseball yourself as a female player, why don't you give them a little more time. Women's baseball is just getting started, it will never get to the level of MLB, but they will drastically improve in a couple of decades. And you probably won't be saying that if the US team was dominating the world scene.
