I love to see new players or generation of players playing on both side esp the USA with former NCAA stars. Id like to see also more new players in Brazil playing in this VNL. They have amazing younger generations of players playing in their pro league. I think they have to start letting them play internationally as part of national team. Bruno and Lucas are great players and still are today but i think there are more good setter and middles out there.

It has always been my favorite to watch these two teams facing against each other. Just based on the game summary, I've seen how USA maximimize its MB, there are also pretty good servers, and the reception is quite spectacular. Although at first I was fully in doubt if USA can keep up the fight since Brazil still has a lot of veteran players like Bruno, Alan, Lucas, Fernando, Souza, etc., I still continue to believe USA's mixture of youngsters and veterans. Anyway, congrats to both teams. Looking forward for their second face-off. 👋👋👋

Mitchem reminds me so much of Haleigh Washington from the USA Women's Team. He has that same intensity as her. I'm glad that the US middles are clicking in this VNL as they underperform big time in last year's VNL and Olympics.

it's nice to see the usa team can play very well and extraordinary, they can bounce back after experiencing a decline in performance last year and not being able to win any titles last year, including the tokyo olympics, and now they are on fire, especially russel, whose pattern the game and its performance has improved tremendously.

Jake Hanes has quicker reflexes for an opposite and 6’11 guy! Perhaps, too early to say, but he’ll inherit Matt’s to-be-bequeathed position, alongside Kyle Ensing. Honestly, not really expecting much for them to get the W, since I find their play kinda inconsistent despite their win-loss record, but man - this roster has pretty great combination! Dagustino from E. Shoji, Mitcham from Holt and of course (hopefully), James Shaw’s more court time!

De vdd, não lembrava a última vez q o BR tinha perdido para os EUA no masculino ,, sei q faz parte do processo , mais a renovação demorou muito. Sem contar q o time dos EUA, tem muito jogador novato de verdade, e o BR, tá com muito veterano , Flávio , Isaac, Alan , Lucas , Bruno , cachopa , é praticmente o time titular da ultima VNL , que o BR, ganhou em cima da Polônia ,e mesmo assim perdeu . O fato do Brasil não ter um levantador jovem , de alto nível para o lugar do Bruno , me asusta.

@@thiagopadua6947 As an American...Volleyball is not even in the top ten most popular sports for men here. Only a few states/cities even offer men's volleyball at the high school or university level. Volleyball is hugely popular for women here and many Americans see it as a "girl sport." Hopefully this will change and men's volleyball will become more popular as more boys have opportunities to play.

This is why Douglas was necessary on the team. He finally matured as a player: he is taller, better and more experienced than these players and provides a stronger pass. I hope these outside hitters develop quickly. Also I love Lucas but it’s time for him to pack it up.

Foi triste, perder pros EUA em casa. Muitos erros, não soubemos aproveitar os contra-ataques. Depois do segundo set foi só ladeira abaixo. O quarto set nem se fala, passamos o set praticamente todo três pontos atrás. Mas é isso. 2022 e ainda ter de ver Bruninho e Lucao titulares na seleção é pra desmotivar qualquer um. Há três temporadas que a Sheshenina brasileira não joga bem e segue titular kk. Lucao é naquela preguiça de sempre, Thales apático e Maique teve chance, mas não soube aproveitar. Gostem ou não, o Douglas é o único ponteiro a altura do Leal e Lucarelli, visto que Adriano é pra de pensar após Paris e Rodriguinho, apesar de estar jogando bem, não passa confiança.
