wow. those penalty kicks by canada were one of the worst ive ever seen. the 3 that failed kicked at the exact same spot and was easily blocked.

A few things to mention. The kick off should've been delayed in order to remove the water from the pitch. There is no way they should've been playing with the pitch in that state. That was a definite penalty for Canada in the first half. The US defender left her foot in and clearly tripped the Canadian. The penalty they did get was a ridiculous decision, though, sadly, typical of decisions awarded by VAR. What is the Keeper meant to do in that situation? She's coming out to clear the ball, the Canadian is looking to head the ball. Simple physics dictates that the players are going to collide. It's unavoidable. We've seen VAR utterly destroy football over the last 2 or 3 years.

also, in slow motion, you can see clearly the gk punched the player right after she got her head to the ball first. What can she do? STAY on the line instead. If she comes out, then she must make sure to get to the ball first. The penalty was given not because there was a collision, but because she make a wrong judgement at coming out thinking she can get the ball ahead of the opponent.

The game never should have been played in a stadium that didn’t have a full cover ; And a horrible call for a penalty ; but I knew Mexico was not as good as the Brazilian team. But the USA team is still not playing good ; against Brazil not sure if we’re good enough; we’re still playing poor

With water standing on pitch this game should not have been played the two Captains should’ve had bough their teams off the field.all the money spent on these facilities you would think they would have the field crowned,, so the water drain to the sides I know it rained very hard but this is doable.the World Cup is just around the corner losing a player at this point you cannot make that up🇺🇸🏆

The US was never up 2-0. They scored the opener 1-0, then Canada tied it 1-1. US scores again 2-1, then Canada tied it again 2-2
