USA vs Costa Rica Women's Soccer

I thought Costa Rica didn't do too bad considering how USWNT usually completely destroys other lower level teams. Like Costa Rica had some shots and looked fine. Obviously they got outscored but they at least touched USA's side and played there unlike some teams that spend their time defending xD.

So it's not enough that the USA is the best team in the world, but now they are going after foreigners like Catarina Macario to play for the US? She's Brazilian, and should represent her country of Brazil. I don't get why the US team has to seek foreigners to play for them. I get why the men's team would want to do that, because they suck and most American men prefer to play other sports, but the women's team doesn't need to do this. You have plenty of great female American players who deserve a spot in the national team, over any foreigner. This is ridiculous.

Macario is actually the one who wanted to play for the usa she's said that for years... also even if the usa wanted her she had the option to turn them down. let people have their own opinion.

@@rachelriley5404 It shouldn't matter what she wants, and if she gets citizenship, so what? That doesn't make you a true American. This is stupid, it's like the men's team for Brazil getting foreigners to play and represent it. At that point, you no longer have a team that represents your country, but a bunch of hired players, like clubs do. There's no point in having national teams then. And the USA men's team is doing this currently, that's why this country cannot and will not get behind it. Bunch of nationalized foreigners or anchor babies playing for America because they're not good enough to represent their mother countries.
