THIS is exactly how you broadcast a game. Excellent camera angle, excellent commentary, excellent production quality. Good on you guys for bringing such quality to the volleyball world and getting more good volleyball content out there to the public.

Honestly, I think the camera angle isn't so awesome. I'd rather see middle court.

Just looking at the live chat at the end of the game; I think it's funny that anyone can re-watch this and put it to slow-mo and see that the ball was inside the lines by about 6 inches. At normal speed it looks iffy, but at slow-motion, you can clearly see it was in.

It was a great decision to let Erik Shoji stay inside the court on the 5th set. His presence calms everyone down and at the same time he can energize everyone in their team. McIntosh is yet to prove himself that he can be effective on the defense of the USA team as Shoji has the greatest digs and saves in volleyball history. It's good that he's getting the exposure tho.

McIntosh might not have the experience but he made some great digs in the past games but i agree when its 5th set let the veteran player stay.

USA is perhaps the calmest team in the world. Even at times when Cuba was superior, at no point did the team become destabilised. They lost concentration in the third and fourth sets, but recovered in the fifth. Shoji is a complete player and Christenson is a magician. Cuba continues to evolve. USA continues to improve its performance in order to do well in the pre-Olympics. A very well-trained, intelligent and physically strong team, and the blocking has improved a lot. Weber is doing the team a lot of good. And I can't say enough about the beautiful DeFalco and Matt Anderson.

Proud of Cuba for fighting back and almost pulling off the reverse sweep. Also, nice to see McIntosh getting some court time with the main starters. Fun game!

Seriously, why do they have to do this in WV? The NCAA finals in the DC Metro area where pretty packed in a much bigger arena. I can't believe USA/Cuba is that empty. What a waste.

They should have sub Herrera completely in the 5th from they were 3 points up
@pgarret7218 Жыл бұрын
Herrera is one of the best and more "colorful"offensive players in the Today's International Volley Scene,but he has a problem. with his incapacity to control his mental hiper state and agressiveness at all times,been uncapable to appeal to "tricks" when he sees,no chances to be successful on his powerful but not always well structured attacks@@SuperMekey.
@andreseduardogonzalezsanab3635 Жыл бұрын
I was thinking exactly the same. Herrera is not a reliable opposite and I think it has been shown both with Cuba and Perugia. He seems to really struggle mentally during the matches.@@pgarret7218

Nothing has changed with the USA brand of volleyball - just chill. No improvements. Still the chill, lazy team... Lazy in offense; lazy in defense; ever reliant that their power game will wreck the opponent... Such brand of play will never win against teams like Poland or Serbia. Will even have the greatest difficulty to win against either Brazil, Italy, France, Germany. Or even against Russia, that is, if Russia will be allowed to play in the 2024 Paris O. I like the USA Team... But I won't risk my dollar on them on a betting game... Never.... Not ever... Not now... Not yet...
@LexiUltr412 күн бұрын
I think their team is good just the way it is. They’re still one of the best teams in the world. Most teams can’t even do anything against their blocking, serving, and transition plays. Improvements are always possible to be made anyway, so why bash them by saying that they have no improvements? Every single team has improved in a way somewhat. It’s just that they’re already in such a high skill level that we can’t notice. Also saying that they can’t beat teams like poland and serbia when they quite literally destroyed serbia during olympic qualifiers and it wasn’t even close. As for poland, they’re in a very similar skill level to the usa in a sense that they also have amazing power and aggression that dominates other teams too. The way they’re really close to each other can be easily seen because their matches are almost all so close, especially the in olympics. Also saying that they’ll have a hard time beating countries like italy is wild when they literally easily beat them for a bronze medal. Note: there isn’t any anger or other external emotions in this reply. I’m just a bit sad that one of my favorite teams is being insulted despite being such an amazing team that performs so well when they actually have a complete lineup.

@LexiUltr4 Whoa! That was a novel! Very long! Anyway, the USA Team, let be agreed, is one of the best in the world. No debate on that. But a team with a champion caliber, NONE of that at the moment. Reasons? They're a lazy team, sometimes lacking in team work... And the coaching staff is also lax... Done!

A Cuba le falta un armador y un libero de categoría, sino, nunca ganarán nada.
