I am not still over how the US lost to ARG. But Argentina’s mental toughness is something to be aspired for. Today France could also make an upset but US has learned their lesson. Kudos to both team for a well played game.

@@leilanidiggs2618Jaeschke played well overall plus since he’s back for the first time in a long while he needs the playing time. He wasn’t the reason for the loss. The whole team didn’t serve or block well and made mistakes in key moments. It was a good loss to learn from going into the playoffs.

@@lukasky03 yep. was there in person. we stood for like 15 minutes in that 4th set bruh. We groaned at EVERY miss serve because i swear USA had like 20 service errors the entire match ESPECIALLY at key moments. My family I took who doesnt even watch volleyball, kept telling me the USA servers sucked LOL so yeah even an outsider can see our service was a problem in that 4th. We put so much service pressure in the 3rd which really allowed us to take that set.

The campaign results of USA depend on Defalco's consistency/stability. He is impressive and a beast throughout but sometimes the emotions get into his head. A bit too many balls into the blockers with sheer power by him in this match. I know it's very challenging but Russel handled the same situations better. Russel is on a next level of consistency that Defalco could become.

I don't necesarily agree! Defalco is an amazing player and likely the go to weapon, but our success (as John Speraw has said) is really reliant on not only getting everyone else involved, but putting a lot of pressure from the service line. In the mens game, on a perfect pass men will side out at like 80% or some crazy number, so thats why USA preaches getting the opponent out of system. Maybe playing Russel would've been the difference for them vs Argentina though.
