Not sure if other countries have leagues. USA has many sports like volleyball in high school, college and national teams. So that's already more than most countries

Omg commentator...it’s not Ka-wee-ka, it is Ka-vee-ka🤦🏽‍♀️. W is pronounced as V. Since the Shoji brothers are from Hawaii, Kawika is a Hawaiian name. So happy there are 5 Hawaii boys on the USA team, Christensen, Kawika, Erik, Tuileta and Micah Ma’a.

this was actually a better team B for USA in terms of offense - with Ensing, Defalco and Ma'a (who is a very talented player). Way to gooo USA team B!! Hope to see these players being lined up in Tokyo Olympics next year!!

I have to say I currently don't like the roster of the German team... I have to give credit for serving, defence and reception. But blocking and attacking in and out of system are not even comparable to some other teams this year. Too small guys on the outside with arguably good arm swings, but they don't have the verticality of other players and are this for in a disadvantage of hitting some angles or tooling the block. Well and the opposites are inexperienced and are not really a physical thread in this Niveau. I don't really see big issues at the positions of libero, setter and middles.

Sometimes coaches like to switch the small setter with a taller player/better blocker (max) for on rotation. This is practical for this lineup because his outside hitter in back row (maa) is also a full on setter. For that on rotation you practicly have the optimal chance to win a point. Well such strategies are only performed on the end of a set. And really can differ from team to team if they are played at all. It all depends on the depth of the roster. I personally really like Micah maa as a player, because he can perform at 2 positions in such a competitive environment.
